Step into the gritty world of Last Train Home inspired by real events after WWI with the release of a captivating Story Trailer.
Filled with an unyielding longing for home, the Czechoslovak Legionaires yearned for one thing – to set foot in their very own country, a place for which they sacrificed blood, sweat, and tears during the Great War.
Their hearts ache to see the faces of their families and friend. They dream of leaving behind the desolate and unforgiving Siberian wilderness and the relentless turmoil of the Russian civil war.
Home becomes their only beacon of hope, pulling them from the depths of despair.
This time, we decided to use game artwork for the trailer, which we also use in the game itself, to visually support the narrative and capture the atmosphere of the notes and illustrations from the journey of the Czechoslovak legionaires across Siberia. Many legionaires kept diaries back then, wrote letters to their families, or handcrafted and illustrated postcards they sent home. In some cases, these are unique testimonies that are not recorded anywhere else, and they reveal stories and often touch the fates of ordinary people. Not all legionnaires were professional soldiers; among them were factory workers, shoemakers, watchmakers, and even artistically inclined individuals who discovered their talent in the frontline trenches.
