Indie studio Funzen is proud to reveal its upcoming title, Underground Nomads — a moving colony sim where dwarves set out aboard a colossal drilling train on a journey into the heart of the Earth. The game is going to be released in 2026.
Long ago, the dwarves had a home. But it was lost, swallowed by time. Now, with the Great Machine as their vessel, they descend ever deeper — through vast biomes and shifting caverns — in search of a forgotten city and a place to belong once more.
In Underground Nomads, you step into the role of commander of this colossal train. Lead your crew through treacherous underground realms, send out daring expeditions, gather precious resources, upgrade your train, and face the weight of hard decisions. Every choice carries the power to bring your people closer to their dream — reaching an abandoned dwarven city and reclaiming a true home.
Underground Nomads’ developers shared: “We aimed to make Underground Nomads a cozy and engaging game where players truly feel like the captain of a dwarven train. The game combines production, management, survival, world exploration, and expeditions into a unified storyline, where gameplay mechanics interact with each other to create an adventure. Your underground journey becomes a story of dwarven ingenuity, the underground world, and thrilling events born from every decision you make.”
