NEOWIZ, leading developer and publisher of critically acclaimed video games, is proud to announce the release of a brand new video developer diary for Brown Dust 2.
In it, Kyung-wook Son from GAMFSN and Jong-ho Kim from NEOWIZ talk about some of the big changes in store and reveal new systems and features coming to the game when it launchesl.
Most notably, viewers will learn more about a new control system and get a first-ever sneak peek into additional illustrations and artwork that will enhance the player’s experience.
Players will be happy to hear that new and improved mid-battle character skill cutscenes are being added that add to the overall art quality of Brown Dust 2. Kyung-wook Son and Jong-ho Kim shared some early sketches that offer a forward look at what players can expect when the update launches. While created early in the process, this concept art showcases each character’s unique characteristics. These epic cutscenes will be viewable as often or as little as a player wants, thanks to the “view once per day” option that is being added for players’ convenience.
The video also explores how integral player feedback has been in creating this update, especially regarding the control system. Players will be thrilled to hear that issues with horizontal screens have been addressed, and they’ll now be able to move by simply touching the intended location they wish a character to move in. Basic movement speeds have also been increased to reduce reliance on the dash button. These functions are all being added for player convenience based on their feedback.
Other improvements include:
- New artwork is being added to the existing 2D animation that will go a long way to improving the “liveliness” of each animation.
- Downloadable design kits include character icons that can be used as profile images on social media.
- New music tracks.
There is more news planned to be revealed in April, and the development team can’t wait to hear what players think. Fans are invited to visit the BrownDust2 site to learn more about the game and to keep tabs on updates as they arrive.
